How does the school communicate important information?
- The Einstein Connect Newsletter is emailed home at the beginning of each month. It contains important dates and information related to all aspects of Student Life.
- Moodle is the all-school information website for classroom assignments.
- The Einstein School website and Social Media accounts will have all school closures and important information as soon as it becomes available.
- Email is the quickest way to communicate with teachers as not all teachers have telephones in their rooms. Your child’s annual welcome packet will have contact information for their teachers.
Tardiness and attendance?
Children are expected to be present in school regularly.
There is no substitute for your child being in class, on time with his/her teacher. Punctuality is important for students to begin the learning day on a positive note. It is good training; the child does not miss the beginning of a lesson; it saves the student the embarrassment of entering the class late and the class is not distracted by late arrivals.
What time does school begin?
During the traditional school year, students can be dropped off starting at 8:15 AM. Classes start 8:45 AM. The school day ends at 4:00 PM and students can be picked up until 6:00 PM; the school closes for the day at 7:00 PM.
How Can I Keep Track of My Child’s Academic Progress
Parents can keep track of their child’s progress through Moodle, report cards, and parent-teacher conferences.
Are community service hours required?
Community service is giving time without pay to an individual, group, or nonprofit organization in need of assistance. As part of the curriculum, students are encouraged to give 20 hours each year serving those who are in need in their community.
What are the dress code standards?
While we are a casual environment, we have worked hard to articulate and uphold what we believe to be an acceptable and decent standard of attire. Come as you please, as long as it’s not offensive to others.
How and when are academic course schedules created?
Course schedules are determined during the Comprehensive Educational Matrix (CEM) process. Students will undergo IQ and achievement testing to determine their individual strengths and weaknesses and learning abilities. Once these factors are determined, they are aligned with the student’s individual interests and academic aspirations to develop their course schedule.
